LA RÉFÉRENCE
The fruit of a committed vision for quality education in the DRC, La Référence Technical College opened its doors in 1999-2000 under the initiative of its promoter, Mr. Justin KAMWANYA KALEMUNA Lem's. Since its creation, the establishment has hosted three sections: kindergarten, primary, and secondary, with several options in secondary school, including pedagogy, biochemistry, math-physics, literature, business and administration, as well as cutting and sewing. After several moves and continuous growth, the school acquired its own infrastructure in 2007 on Faraja Avenue, marking a major turning point in its development. New buildings were constructed to meet the growing needs of students, allowing all sections to be accommodated in suitable spaces. In 2016, an administrative reorganization was implemented to improve the management and quality of teaching. Today, La Référence Technical College is a modern institution with three well-equipped blocks, providing optimal learning conditions with state-of-the-art equipment for practical sessions. It continues to embody academic and technical excellence, training Congolese youth for the challenges of the professional and academic world.
OUR SCHOOL
Founded by Mr. Justin Kamwanya Kalemuna Lem's, La Référence Technical College has become a pillar of education in the DRC. Offering a comprehensive education from kindergarten to secondary school with several options, it has grown thanks to modern and adapted infrastructure. An administrative reorganization has strengthened the educational quality, supported by state-of-the-art equipment and well-equipped laboratories. Today, with its three modern blocks, the institution effectively prepares its students for academic and professional challenges, embodying excellence and educational innovation.
OUR MISSION & OUR VISION
The Collège Technique la Référence, like any other educational institution, has the mission of promoting the education of youth. This education is not limited to simply stuffing learners' heads with course material, but is part of a process of integral human formation. Indeed, at Collège la Référence, students are subjected to training that encompasses all dimensions of the human person: the intellectual dimension, which integrates theoretical and practical knowledge, the moral dimension, the social dimension, and the religious dimension. In short, at Collège La Référence, learners are trained in know-how and interpersonal skills. Ultimately, the mission of Collège La Référence is to produce citizens useful to human society.
Since its inception, the Collège Technique la Référence has been committed to a dynamic vision of excellence and renewal, which is that of its promoter. According to this vision, which underlies all of the school's actions, the college must one day become a bilingual and international school with a curriculum that integrates the curricula of leading international schools around the world. The goal of this vision is to one day enable Congolese children to study internationally while still in Congo.
